Join us on April 11th, 2026 for an unforgettable 8K on the scenic Brown’s Creek Bike Trail in Stillwater! This point-to-point style course features a gentle downhill gradient — perfect for chasing fast times and setting new personal records.
Whether you’re kickstarting your spring training or looking for an early-season benchmark race, this event is for YOU.
Hosted by Wild River Running, Stillwater’s locally owned and independently operated run specialty shop, this race is all about celebrating and strengthening the endurance community of the St. Croix River Valley.
A portion of race proceeds will directly support the Stillwater Distance programs, helping cover expenses not funded by the school — including travel to events like the Nike Cross Regional meet in Sioux Falls, SD.

Yes! The Brown’s Creek Breeze is a USATF certified 8k course. Two Minnesota “Age Records” were set on the course in 2025
There are a few different options for race day shuttling:
- Have a friend or enemy drop you off at the start line
- Shuttle cars with a fellow participant
- Run back! The shortest distance via Laurel St. and McKusick road is a little less than 4 miles- great for anyone marathon training this spring.
- We will have two 12-passenger van that will make continuous trips as needed starting 30 minutes after the first finisher from the River Siren Brewing back to the Gasthaus. Van pick up is at the Water Street entrance of River Siren.
YES! We will give you a bag tag to attach to a small backpack or bag when you are given your bib. These will be delivered to River Siren Brewing near the finish line. Please be respectful with bag size as runners will be lifting these in and out of vehicles.
No- we want to keep this a low-cost, low-key affair. This is also why we do not have finishers medals and make T-Shirts an extra cost.
Yes! We’ll have some post-race snacks at River Siren Brewing. Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter opens at 11, serving some of the best German food in the region.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for the race due to weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances affecting the participant. Most of the entry fees have been spent months out on things like permitting, timing, insurance, etc
The time limit for completing the course is 90 minutes. This is an 18 min/mile pace.
Strollers are allowed! We will have a stroller category in 2026. Dogs are not allowed in the race.
Yes- as an add-on. We make shirts optional to keep costs down.
